National Conference on dual education was held, focus on advancing Vocational Education and Business Cooperation

The Advisor to the Acting Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, Bleona Kelmendi, participated in the National Conference on Dual Education, where achievements, challenges, and perspectives of dual education in Kosovo were discussed.

In her speech, on behalf of Minister Çeku, she emphasized the Government of Kosovo’s commitment to the development of education and vocational training. “Today, 17 municipalities are part of this program, with 32 schools and 16 profiles, comprising 142 classes and over 2,500 students already integrated into the system, of whom more than 70% are employed,” Kelmendi stated.

The Advisor praised the contribution of businesses and international partners, particularly the support of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and expressed the Ministry of Education and Science’s readiness to continue cooperation with all stakeholders to expand and advance dual education.

The conference served as a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing best practices, with the aim of strengthening the link between vocational education and the labor market.

The activity was organized within the framework of the project “Skills for Sustainable Employment in Kosovo”, financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science and LuxDev.
