MAS Continues Consultations on the Development of the Kosovo Education Strategy 2035+ with Leaders of Higher Education Institutions

The Ministry of Education and Science (MAS) held the next consultation round as part of the process of drafting the Kosovo Education Strategy 2035+, this time with leaders of higher education institutions. The meeting focused on identifying strategic priorities and the role of higher education institutions in designing and implementing new education policies.

The Acting Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, emphasized that the Strategy will be built on the contributions of educational institutions, municipalities, and partners, with the aim of ensuring its successful implementation. He underlined that the process requires the engagement and mobilization of all stakeholders, stressing that the document will be the result of a collaborative process involving educational institutions.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Science, Fadile Dyla, thanked representatives of higher education institutions for their engagement in the process of drafting the new Education Strategy, emphasizing the importance of their participation both in the planning phase and in its implementation.

During the presentation of the document, the Coordinator of the process for drafting the new Education Strategy, Taulant Hoxha, emphasized that the Strategy will be developed through an open and inclusive process involving educational institutions, partners, and relevant stakeholders.

According to him, thematic roundtables, consultations, and other activities will be organized over the coming months, with the aim of translating professional contributions into a sustainable, practical, and development-oriented strategic document focused on the long-term advancement of education in Kosovo.

During the discussion, representatives of higher education institutions presented their assessments, recommendations, and proposals regarding higher education development priorities and the advancement of the education system.

They expressed their willingness to actively contribute throughout the process of drafting the Kosovo Education Strategy 2035+, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation among institutions in developing sustainable policies, improving the quality of higher education, fostering innovation, and supporting the country’s development.
