The Acting Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, took part in the first day of the two-day seminar on the theme “Empowering JUESC for Social Dialogue, Collective Bargaining, and Representation of Education Workers”, organized by the United Union of Education, Science and Culture (JUESC), with the support of the American Center for Solidarity.

Minister Çeku welcomed the organization of the seminar and emphasized the commitment of the Ministry of Education and Science to advancing social dialogue and building a sustainable partnership with the representatives of education workers.

He spoke about the principles on which social dialogue will be based, highlighting among others partnership in good faith as a fundamental principle.

The President of JUESC, Rrahman Jasharaj, valued the importance of cooperation and social dialogue with the Ministry of Education and Science, stressing the positive developments in this regard.

Meanwhile, the President of BSPK, Atdhe Hykolli, underlined that strengthening this dialogue would contribute to creating more favorable conditions for education workers and other sectors in Kosovo, since, according to him, many issues and challenges can be addressed through continuous cooperation and communication.

The seminar was also attended by JUESC’s Secretary General, Ymer Ymeri; the representative of the American Center for Solidarity, Tirana Office, Brunilda Hylviu; as well as other representatives of institutions and trade union structures.
