The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo organized this event in honor of the life and work of Rexhep Qosja, one of the most distinguished figures of critical thought and Albanian culture. The ceremony was dedicated to his broad contribution to science, literature, and public life.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, and the Minister of Culture, Saranda Bogujevci, along with academics, professors, and representatives of scientific and cultural institutions from Kosovo and the region.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that Rexhep Qosja was one of the most important figures of Albanian literary criticism and public thought. He praised Qosja’s contribution to the study of national identity, Albanian history and literature, as well as his role as an engaged intellectual in defending the rights of Albanians.
Speeches on the life and work of academician Rexhep Qosja were also delivered by academician Anila Hoda from the Academy of Sciences of Albania and academician Ali Aliu, both of whom highly valued his extraordinary contribution to science, culture, and Albanian critical thought.
