Minister Çeku discusses with representatives of the education community on drafting the new Education Strategy 2035+

The Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, welcomed representatives of central and local institutions, educational institutions, universities, teachers, parents, pupils, and students at the latest meeting. Participants included: the Chair of the Collegium of Municipal Directors of Education, Muhamet Gjoka; the President of JUESC, Rrahman Jasharaj; the Secretary General of JUESC, Ymer Ymeri; the Vice-Rector of “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja, Alma Shehu Lokaj; the Director of the Collegium of Directors of Preschool Institutions, Arbenita Berisha; the President of the Parents’ Council of Kosovo, Besnik Dragusha; the President of the Student Parliament of the University of Prishtina, Flon Kastrati; and the President of the Children’s Assembly of the Capital, Kaon Krasniqi.

The meeting was held as a continuation of the cooperation initiated with the signing of the Commitment for Education 2035+. At the center of the discussion was the engagement in drafting the State Education Strategy 2035+ and the inclusion of all stakeholders in this process. Minister Çeku informed them about the latest developments and emphasized the importance of a comprehensive process in which institutions, education professionals, parents, pupils, and students contribute.

Preparations were also discussed regarding the upcoming organizational cycle of meetings with teachers and parents in all regions of the country, which will be held throughout October. These meetings will openly address education topics, ministry plans, and the pillars of the new Education Strategy.
