The Acting Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Përparim Kryeziu, received in a meeting the Rector of the University of Malta, Prof. Frank Bezzina, accompanied by the Pro-Rector for Strategic Implementation and Sustainability, Vincent Cassar. They discussed cooperation between higher education institutions of Kosovo and Malta. The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), Naim Gashi; the Pro-Rector for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement of “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja, Edmon Beqiri, the Head of the Doctoral School, Ibish Mazreku and the Minister’s Advisor, Arta Berisha.

Deputy Minister Kryeziu thanked Rector Bezzina and the University of Malta for their cooperation and support to higher education institutions, particularly to “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja, which during the meeting was highlighted as a good example of international inter-university partnership.

They jointly discussed opportunities for expanding academic and scientific cooperation through joint programs, student and academic staff mobility, collaborative research projects, exchange of experiences, and sharing of practices in the field of quality assurance in higher education.

Both parties expressed readiness to further strengthen institutional cooperation, aiming at the internationalization of higher education, enhancement of academic capacities, and advancement of scientific research.
