Applications Open for the Subsidization of School Textbooks and Materials

Starting today, July 27, applications are open for the subsidization of textbooks and school materials for students in primary and lower secondary education (grades 1–9).

The Ministry of Education and Science informs all parents and guardians that applications will be submitted through the eKosova platform and will remain open for a period of two weeks, from July 27 to August 9, 2026.

The subsidy covers the purchase of textbooks and school materials for students in primary and lower secondary education (grades 1–9).

The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the parent’s/applicant’s bank account.

Before applying, please make sure that:

  • Your bank account is active and the information provided is correct;
  • Your personal information on eKosova is up to date.

Applications will also be available to foreign citizens holding temporary or permanent residence permits in the Republic of Kosovo, whose children attend educational institutions in the Republic of Kosovo.

or foreign citizens who do not yet have a residence permit but have children enrolled in schools in the Republic of Kosovo, the Ministry of Education and Science (MASH) will submit a list of these cases to the Agency for Information Society (ASHI) in order to enable access to eKosova for the purpose of applying.

Important note: In accordance with MASH Administrative Instruction No. 13/2016 on the provision, use, and preservation of school textbooks, students and parents are responsible for taking proper care of the textbooks. At the end of the school year, textbooks must be returned to the school in good condition.

If textbooks are intentionally damaged, damaged due to negligence, or lost, the parent is obliged to replace or compensate for them. Textbooks should be returned to the class teacher at the end of the school year.

All applications will be verified by the respective schools through authorized coordinators.
