Minister Çeku participates in the International Conference on Education at the Faculty of Education

The Acting Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, took part in the Kosovo International Conference on Educational Research (KICER), organized by the Faculty of Education of the University of Prishtina, which this year marked its sixth edition.

In his address, Minister Çeku emphasized the importance of this Conference as one of the most significant educational forums in the country, highlighting its role in exchanging experiences, analyzing challenges and achievements, and shaping the future of schools and universities in Kosovo.

Speaking about education reforms, Minister Çeku underlined that the Faculty of Education is one of the key pillars where new generations of teachers are trained and where the most important changes in the system begin.

“This conference, organized by the Faculty of Education, takes place precisely where change begins; where teachers of new generations are formed and prepared. This platform must contribute to the co-production of our state policies. The topics you will address over these two days are the pillars upon which we continue our reforms,” stated Minister Çeku.

He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to transforming research practices into concrete policies, stressing that teaching quality, professional preparation, and continuous development of teachers remain priorities for educational institutions.

The Rector of the University of Prishtina, Arben Hajrullahu, spoke about the importance of linking scientific research with practice and decision-making processes, valuing the conference as an important opportunity for exchanging ideas and formulating concrete recommendations for advancing education and fostering sustainable societal development.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Prishtina, Blerim Saqipi, emphasized the need to strengthen the teaching profession and to connect practice with scientific research.
